James Caan (The Godfather, Misery), Jane Fonda (Coming Home, Barbarella) and Jason Robards (Magnolia, Once Upon a Time in the West) headline Alan J. Pakula’s (Klute, All the President’s Men) seminal western, Comes a Horseman. Set in the late days of World War II, Ella Connors (Fonda) joins forces with fellow rancher Frank Athearn (Caan) in a battle to save their land from greedy cattle baron Jacob “J.W.” Ewing (Robards).

Richard Farnsworth’s (Misery) portrayal of aging cowhand Dodger earned him an Academy Award® nomination for Best Supporting Actor and George Grizzard (Advise & Consent) and Mark Harmon (TV’s NCIS, Summer School) round out the cast. Michael Small (Marathon Man) contributes the music with photography by Gordon Willis (Annie Hall) in this “enormously beautiful” (Newsweek) modern-day western.
